Principal Advisor Health, Safety and Wellbeing - Environmental Protection Authority NZ


The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) New Zealand is looking to recruit a permanent full time Principal Adviser, Health, Safety and Wellbeing to join their team based in their Wellington city offices. The role provides plenty of variety, interesting and challenging opportunities, working with colleagues focused on making a difference.

The Principal Advisor Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) will work with all levels of the business and explore HS&W opportunities. The role partners with senior leaders and the EPA Board to set the direction for Health, Safety and Wellbeing, and will deliver a comprehensive suite of initiatives, hazard and risk management, governance reporting and audits.

This role is pivotal in leading the response to keep staff safe and well during the current pandemic and any other emergencies, while providing advice to Senior Management.  The Principal Advisor ensures EPA people working in the field are safe and well while executing our regulatory responsibilities for Hazardous Substances, the Exclusive Economic Zone, Resource Management and during public engagement activities.
