Mentally Healthy Work Community of Practice

The November 2022 MHWCOP will be chaired by Dr Kate Bone and will be on the theme: Mentally Healthy Work 101: managing psychosocial risks and enhancing wellbeing. 

  • This session will host Prof Tim Bentley who is the Director of the ECU Centre for Work + Wellbeing, a Strategic Research Centre of Edith Cowan University. Tim is an experienced research leader, mentor and supervisor. As former director of the New Zealand Work Research Institute, Tim is rated ‘world standard’ in his research field. He has led many major government-funded research projects in the fields of psychological H&S and his research on psychosocial risk and workplace ill-treatment has had high impact on government and industry stakeholders, contributing to national policy in New Zealand and best practice guidelines/industry practice in both New Zealand and Australia.

  • The agency spotlight will be on the GHSL's Mentally Healthy Work Capability Programme and will introduce the programme launching in 2023.

  • There will be time for facilitated discussion and networking (please feel free to come prepared to share on your agency's current activities, challenges or ideas).
