Robyn Parkin awarded Public Service Occupational Health and Safety Postgraduate Study Grant

On Thursday 13 December, Robyn Parkin was presented with a certificate to acknowledge her receipt of the Public Service Occupational Health and Safety Postgraduate Study Grant.

Ray Smith, Government Health and Safety Lead presented Robyn with her certificate at a small ceremony, attended by her family, IRD colleagues, members of HASANZ and NZISM and Prof Gregor Coster, Dean of the Faculty of Health at Victoria University.

Robyn is currently the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager at the Inland Revenue Department. She will undertake a postgraduate diploma in workplace health and safety at Victoria University in 2019.

This is the first year the Government Health and Safety Lead has funded a postgraduate study grant, as the need to develop more health and safety professionals in the public sector is recognised.
