Heads of Health Safety - V&A in changing and diverse work environments

In the latest of our 2025 Heads of Health and Safety sessions series, this session featured Jason Hare, the Head of Health, Safety and Wellbeing at New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE), alongside guest speaker Lance Burdett.(external link)

This month’s topic centred around understanding violence and aggression in changing and diverse work environments. Jason outlined the programme of work that the NZTE have been undertaking around this critical risk of violence and aggression towards their global workforce that spans both international and domestic work environments. Lance Burnett, who shared his wealth of experience who has worked and consulted for agencies across the public service on resilience, communication, and safety. How the WARN approach has been applied at the NZTE to enhance its understanding and capabilities to address, manage and control this critical risk.
