Regional Co-ordinator I Health New Zealand I Te Whatu Ora
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are advertising for a full time Regional Co-ordinator based in Wellington within their HS team. This role will be ideally suited for a recent graduate looking to begin their HSW career.
About the Role
Reporting to the GM, Health and Safety, this role provides essential administrative and coordination support to the Regional Health and Safety team. You'll help enable the effective delivery of health and safety programmes and initiatives across the region, ensuring operational consistency, timely communication, and accurate reporting aligned with Health New Zealand's strategic objectives.
Key responsibilities include coordinating meetings, workshops, and events; maintaining documentation and databases; supporting communications; and assisting with reports and performance tracking. You'll also support district-level teams, working collaboratively with Health and Safety Delivery and Occupational Health teams to ensure alignment between regional and district functions.
About you
You are a self-starter, who takes ownership and gets things done. You hold a relevant tertiary qualification (a related professional qualification is desired), and have a minimum of 8 years' experience in Risk Management, including senior leadership experience, in complex environments at the beginning of their risk maturity journey. You have a strong understanding of risk management frameworks and methodologies and have successfully applied them pragmatically across complex organisational settings.
You are a strategic, analytical thinker who connects organisational dynamics to risk implications and reporting. You intuitively understand people and complex situations, have strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex environments.
